I created this blog for a number of reasons. First and foremost, is to document my writing experience of my first novel for anyone who is interested. What I’m learning about writing, novels short stories, etc.
I’ve also started this blog is to keep me motivated. As we all know, without motivation nothing happens and I’ll stop writing. So by having this blog, I’m keeping my mind focused.
I also wanted to share with everyone all the great resources that I found that were useful to me and may be useful to you.
If you have something to share, please leave a comment.
Thank you
About me
I moved to Toronto 29 years ago when my father decided to take a job there. After 28 years living there, I’ve moved back to Montreal, my birth place; for work; I now live on Île des Sœurs. I have taken this chance to start my life over. So, as you’ve noticed, I’ve decided to take writing seriously.
Due to Montréal’s small size, it’s easy to see different aspects of it in one day, from the old port to Rue Saint-Denis, across Rue St-Catherine to the other side of town to St-Henri where my cousin lives. All by walking or taking the Metro. And this allows you to get some good writing ideas.

The act of writing has truly become a compulsion when we feel we must start a blog to write about the process of writing.
I can relate.

It seems easier to learn and remember when you write out your experience and what you learned from it. Because writing a blog requires so much dedication, for me it keeps me going. Too often I’ve given up on writing because it just becomes too difficult. This way, I’m building a reputation that I need to deliver on.

Discipline is the most important aspect when it comes to determining the success or failure of a writer. If you are not utterly dedicated to the daily practice of writing, you stand very little chance of developing the staying power necessary to be a writer of any stature. Work hard and keep the faith “in defiance of all the world’s muteness” (Nabokov).

Nice new theme. I guess tinkering with layouts has been this weekend’s trend and favorite method of procrastinating
Anyway, I like your page-structure; I was thinking of doing the same kind of thing for agents’ blogs and writing sites as well as publishers ( I don’t do self-publishing, which is just not my cup of coffee)
Cheers,
Nym

But seriously, this blog is about challenging me and everyone else. So if you have an opinion, please make it a point to leave a comment. I’ve learnt a few things from reading peoples comments.
